Come and enjoy year round warmth and tranquil desert surroundings at
SHANGRI LA RANCH. We believe that the best way to welcome newcomers to the nudist lifestyle is to
allow them to ease into the nude environment at their own pace, therefore SHANGRI LA RANCH
is clothing optional.
We are a family friendly facility that welcome everyone interested in naturism. Full memberships with the resort are available; inquire with the office staff.
SHANGRI LA RANCH
emphasizes the freedom of choice. You select the activity that suits you from quiet
relaxation in the spa , sauna or on the pool deck, to swimming, volleyball, water
volleyball, tennis, basketball, horseshoes or hiking trails. A clubhouse,
children's playground and laundry are available. The pool is maintained at a comfortable
temperature year round. Note that no
bathing suits are allowed in the pool.
Our
clubhouse features a large fireplace, dance floor, tables and chairs for indoor
dining, card games and other social gatherings. In the adjacent conference room
we have a library of books and games for your enjoyment. There is a large screen
TV with DVD & VCR to enjoy our collection or movies or bring your own. It is
also an excellent facility for visiting clubs and organizations needing meeting
space that can accommodate large groups and private functions. Soda vending
machines are located near the clubhouse for your convenience.
The Café is now open and operating on the weekends only. Enjoy the excellent cuisine or just sit and enjoy a great cup of coffee with friends.
SHANGRI LA RANCH is located only a 45 minute drive (mostly interstate) from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Take Interstate 17 to Exit 223, Carefree Highway at the northern Phoenix City limits. Go East 4 miles to 7th Street, (NOT AVENUE). Go North 7 miles to Shangri La Road. Go west 1/4 mile to the entrance. All roads are paved.
Office hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, seven days a week, with some exceptions for holidays. We are a gated resort, so if you anticipate arriving late, for camping or RV hookup, phone ahead so that we can arrange to accommodate you. Daily visitors may register at 9:00 AM with check out at dusk.
SHANGRI LA RANCH
has full hookup trailer/RV sites, water and electric trailer/RV sites, and
tent camping. Lodging accommodations include basic motel, efficiency,
park model, and cabin rentals.
All
efficiency, park model, and cabin units have a bedroom and bathroom with linens,
living room with TV and a kitchen, complete with pots, pans and tableware. Check in time is
3:00 PM, check out time is 11:00 AM. Late check out is available for a fee. Roll-away beds
are available.
In
addition to these rental units a lodge is available with three bedrooms, two baths, a full
kitchen, separate dining room and living room with a fireplace. This is an ideal spot for
families or a group of friends who need a little extra room.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: There is a full schedule of social activities every weekend of the year. They include DJ dances, theme parties, Karaoke, pot lucks, cookouts, and much much more. Special event dinners are catered for the club or for private groups. Come watch sports events on the Big Screen TV in the clubhouse with satellite hookup.
HOSTING
& EDUCATION: Millennium Hall provides an excellent facility
for visiting clubs and organizations needing meeting space that can accommodate
large groups, yet has an open, spacious feeling and a panoramic view of the
grounds and the surrounding desert hills. Cooled in the summer, and heated
when necessary in our mild winters, it is an excellent place for special events
and seminars.
Millennium Hall is near the pools and is equipped
with 2 pool tables, ping-pong table, electronic darts, foosball, and air hockey.

the site of our weekly Karaoke night.
